Ankara Esenboga Airport - New Domestic & International Passenger Terminal
Mott MacDonald was appointed as Lenders Technical & Market Advisor for the new Domestic-International Passenger Terminal at Ankara Esenboga Airport in Turkey. The new terminal will be operated under a 15-year concession agreement by Tepe Akfen Ventures (TAV) and will boost annual passenger traffic capacity from 5.2mn to 10mn.
The Lenders appointed Mott MacDonald to review the Project and report on any key areas of contractual, commercial, construction and operating (i.e. maintenance) risk protecting the Lender's interests during the project phases.
In Phase 1 we undertook a preliminary due-diligence review of:
- 1. traffic forecasts and scenarios;
- 2. revenues and financial model inputs, and
- 3. the EPC cost plan and completion date.
In Phase 2 we reviewed the Project and reported to HVB on key areas of contractual, construction and operating (i.e. maintenance) risk based upon information and documents made available to Mott MacDonald.
