Skill Sets - Air Traffic Forecasting, Route development and aviation policy

Mott MacDonald's Aviation strategy and forecasting team has a wealth of experience in air traffic forecasting, route development and economics, and air transport policy studies.

We are experts in air traffic forecasting and aviation forecasting, planning for passengers, cargo and air transport movements for airports, airlines, air navigation services and business. This aviation expertise has been used for a variety of local airports such as Shoreham (UK), regional, national and international airports, such as Brussels, Johannesburg, Delhi and Sydney.

Our consultants advise airports, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, transportation agencies, financial institutions and governments on economic growth, market conditions and competition, fuel prices, taxation, environmental issues, regulation and the financial and economic issues facing the aviation industry.

Our extensive air transport studies in Scotland have successfully helped to identify PSO 'lifeline' services for local and regional airports in the Highlands and Islands communities. We have carried out aviation policy support tasks for the UK Govt and Spanish Government.

Mott MacDonald's aviation team has considerable experience in delivering leading edge presentations and in chairing air transport conferences. Our team includes air transport economist Laurie Price, Director for Aviation Strategy at Mott MacDonald, who was Aviation Advisor to the UK House of Commons Transport Select Committee between 1998 and 2005.
